Kasur Nazrana Times Ali Imran Chattha Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan inaugurated the new Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) Station in Kasur. Provincial Minister for Education Rana Sikandar Hayat, Secretary Excise, Taxation and Narcotics Control Masud Mukhtar, Director Genera Punjab Counter Narcotics Force Brigadier Mazhar Iqbal, and other senior officials were also present on the occasion.
Following the inauguration, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan was given a detailed briefing on the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force, including its organizational setup, legal powers, ongoing operations, modern equipment, training system, and future plans. The officials also informed Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan that a comprehensive report on the Force's operational performance during the past eleven months would be presented.
Speaking on the occasion, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said that the establishment of the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force is an important initiative of the Chief Minister Punjab aimed at effectively eliminating the menace of narcotics across the province.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said that the fight against narcotics is not the responsibility of law enforcement agencies alone but a shared responsibility of the entire society.
Appreciating the Force's professional training, modern equipment, and operational capability, Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan said that the Punjab Counter Narcotics Force is fully equipped to perform its responsibilities in accordance with international standards.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan expressed confidence that the Force would work closely with the Police, the Anti-Narcotics Force, and other relevant agencies to carry out effective operations against drug traffickers across the province.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan further said that the nature of crime is constantly changing, and law enforcement agencies must continue to adapt to modern challenges and emerging security needs.
Speaker Punjab Assembly Malik Muhammad Ahmad Khan reaffirmed the Punjab Government's commitment to protecting the younger generation from the menace of narcotics. He said that every possible measure will continue to be taken to achieve this objective, and that all relevant institutions will be provided with full support.
