International Sikh Council Organizes Gathering in Montreal, Canada

An International Sikh Council gathering was organized in Montreal, located in the Canadian province of Quebec, where various speakers addressed significant issues concerning the Sikh community.
During the event, speakers highlighted topics including the loss of the Sikh homeland, the partition of Punjab in 1947, the four-decade-long genocide against Sikhs, conspiracies to further divide Punjab, and the killings of Sikh freedom fighters.
Representing the International Sikh Council and Waris Punjab California, Bhai Amandeep Singh spoke in depth about the current situation in Punjab and the ongoing struggle for Punjab’s freedom. Addressing the youth, S. S.P. Singh, a leader of the AKF (Anandpur Khalsa Foundation), inspired them to return to their Anandpur roots and called upon them to remain ready for every possible struggle for Punjab’s independence.
From Channel 84, Bhai Manveer Singh condemned the killings of Sikhs abroad by the Indian government and raised concerns about Sikhs illegally imprisoned in Indian jails. Sikh activist and researcher Bhai Karam Singh from Barclay University, USA, discussed the growing migration of Sikhs from Punjab and warned about its severe consequences in the future.
The AKF organization expressed its gratitude to the large number of devotees present and handed over the responsibility of AKF services in Montreal to Gurdev Singh and his team.
During the event, the AKF International organization also honored the services of exiled Sikh leader Bhai Lakhbir Singh Rode. In recognition of his contributions, his son Bhai Bhagat Singh Rode was specially awarded a Gold Medal and a Sri Sahib (ceremonial sword).
Notable attendees included Bhai Amandeep Singh (California), S.P. Singh Maan, Bhai Manveer Singh, Bhai Bhagat Singh Rode, Stage Secretary Bhai Satnam Singh Lakhoval, Gurdev Singh, Bhai Surjit Singh, Bhai Karam Singh (USA), Sarovar Singh Vraich (Surrey), Talwinder Singh Ambrsaria, Sarwan Singh Aulakh, Rajwinder Singh, and several others.
The gathering emphasized unity among Sikh organizations worldwide under the vision of a sovereign Khalistan. Leaders reaffirmed:
“We stand shoulder to shoulder with every Sikh organization for the cause of Khalistan. We have no personal enmity with anyone. Let us remove misunderstandings with love and brotherhood, unite under one Nishan Sahib, and collectively give a strong response to oppressive regimes, demonstrating Sikh solidarity to the world.”
