After completing their religious rituals at Gurdwara Janam Asthan in Nankana Sahib, a contingent of Indian Sikh pilgrims arrived at Gurdwara Sacha Sauda in Farooqabad, where they were officially received by the Deputy Secretary of Shrines and Administration.
The pilgrims, who are visiting Pakistan to participate in the annual death anniversary commemorations of Maharaja Ranjit Singh, were welcomed with traditional warmth upon their arrival at the historic gurdwara. Following their brief stay in Farooqabad, the yatree caravan departed for Gurdwara Panja Sahib in Hasan Abdal, where they are scheduled to stay for two days to perform their religious rituals and observances.
Throughout their visit to Sacha Sauda, the Indian pilgrims expressed deep appreciation for Pakistan's hospitality, praising the exceptional arrangements made by the Evacuee Trust Property Board (ETPB). They voiced satisfaction with the accommodation, transport, langar (community meals), and overall facilities provided to them.
Jatha leader Sardar Khushwinder Singh lauded the exemplary arrangements for the Maharaja Ranjit Singh anniversary events, stating, "The love and respect we receive in Pakistan is commendable. The security and administrative measures are ideal, and our gurdwaras here are beautiful, secure, and preserved in their original condition."
The pilgrims also thanked the ETPB for its dedicated services, noting that the boarding, transportation, and security measures have exceeded their expectations. Additional security personnel and Rescue 1122 ambulances have been deployed alongside the convoy to ensure a smooth pilgrimage experience. The main commemorative ceremony for Maharaja Ranjit Singh is set to take place on June 29 at Gurdwara Dera Sahib in Lahore.
