Prince Rahim Aga Khan V to Visit Pakistan on Government Invitation

Prince Rahim Aga Khan V, the spiritual leader of the Shia Ismaili Muslim community, will undertake an official visit to Pakistan from May 20 to 26, marking his first trip to the country at the invitation of the federal government.
During the six-day visit, the Ismaili Imam is scheduled to travel to Hunza, Chitral, and the capital, Islamabad. His itinerary includes engagements with local communities, participation in key meetings with government officials, and interactions with various stakeholders as part of his official commitments across the country.
In the northern regions of Hunza and Chitral, the Prince is expected to meet with Ismaili community members, while in Islamabad, he will hold high-level discussions with state representatives. The government has extended the invitation as part of ongoing bilateral engagement with the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN), which operates major health, education, and cultural projects in Pakistan.
Further details regarding specific meeting venues or security arrangements have not yet been released. The visit is being viewed as a significant event for the Ismaili community in Pakistan, which numbers several hundred thousand.
