Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch meets Senate Chairman Yousuf Raza Gilani; former PM congratulates him on appointment

Lahore , Nazrana Times- Federal Ombudsman Naveed Kamran Baloch met with Senate Chairman and former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani at the latter's office the other day. During the meeting, the former Prime Minister congratulated him on his appointment as Federal Ombudsman, expressing the hope that his experience would help the institution of the Federal Ombudsman achieve further progress. The Federal Ombudsman informed Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani that his office had resolved over 261,000 complaints in the past year, of which approximately 97% had also been implemented. Naveed Kamran Baloch further told the former Prime Minister that, to provide easy access to justice for the common people, 27 regional offices of the Federal Ombudsman are functioning across the country. In addition, officers of the Federal Ombudsman travel to remote areas themselves to hear complaints, delivering free and swift justice to the people. Appreciating the performance, the former Prime Minister remarked that with Naveed Kamran Baloch as Federal Ombudsman, this institution would make further strides and play its role in resolving the issues of Pakistan's underprivileged people. He assured the Federal Ombudsman of his full cooperation. At the conclusion of the meeting, the Senate Chairman presented a shield and a bouquet reflecting his ancestral city of Multan to the Federal Ombudsman.
