Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly member Baba G Gurpal Singh has strongly condemned India, accusing it of worsening Pakistan’s flood crisis through deliberate water releases. He said India’s actions have aggravated the situation, causing widespread destruction and displacement across affected regions.
The Sikh lawmaker praised the Pakistan Army for its recent rescue operation at Kartarpur Gurdwara, where more than 100 people were saved from dangerous floodwaters. He expressed deep gratitude to the Chief of Army Staff (COAS) and the Army, crediting their timely and courageous intervention with protecting the lives of worshippers and visitors at the holy site.
Singh added that the successful rescue mission demonstrates Pakistan’s commitment to safeguarding all citizens and religious communities. He emphasized that the Kartarpur Corridor continues to serve as a global symbol of peace and interfaith harmony.
