Crackdown on Drug Trafficking in Punjab

The Punjab Counter Narcotics Force (CNF) conducted 52 successful intelligence-based operations across multiple districts of the province over the past ten days. These operations took place in Lahore, Sargodha, Dera Ghazi Khan, Multan, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Gujranwala, and Bahawalpur, resulting in the arrest of 53 drug traffickers, including women.
During the operations, authorities recovered a total of 108 kilograms of narcotics with an estimated market value of around Rs. 20 million. The seized drugs included 50 kg of hashish, 1 kg of weed, 25 kg of opium, 3 kg of ice, 27 kg of cannabis, 2 kg of heroin, and 1,200 ecstasy tablets.
Additionally, 19 weapons were confiscated, including 10 pistols, 5 sub-machine guns (SMGs), and 4 rifles.
Since its establishment in August 2025, the Punjab CNF has seized a total of 15.8 tons of narcotics with an estimated value exceeding Rs. 2.132 billion.
The Punjab CNF has reaffirmed its commitment to continuing operations with full force to eliminate drug trafficking from the province.
