First Quarterly Himmat Card Installment for FY 2026-27 Released

The Punjab government has released the first quarterly installment of Himmat Card stipends for the financial year 2026-27, with Rs1.155 billion being distributed among 110,000 deserving beneficiaries.
Provincial Minister for Social Welfare and Bait-ul-Maal Punjab Sohail Shaukat Butt said the government was ensuring the timely disbursement of Himmat Card stipends across the province during the first quarter of the new financial year.
The beneficiaries include Himmat Card holders, particularly persons with disabilities, as well as students enrolled in the Special Education Department.
Sohail Shaukat Butt said that, in line with the vision of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the provincial government was committed to providing financial protection and support to vulnerable and disadvantaged segments of society.
“The Himmat Card aims to enable persons with disabilities and students of special education to lead dignified and independent lives. Timely financial assistance will help them meet their essential needs and also contribute towards discouraging begging,” he said.
The provincial minister directed district officers to ensure that the disbursement process is completed transparently, promptly and without any hindrance, so that entitled beneficiaries receive their stipends in a timely manner.
