President Zardari for Further Strengthening Pakistan-China Economic and Trade Cooperation

Islamabad: 21 August 2026 — President Asif Ali Zardari has called for further strengthening economic and trade cooperation between Pakistan and China, particularly by promoting greater business-to-business engagement and exploring new avenues of collaboration.
The President expressed these views during a meeting with Ms Hao Yuejiao, President of the China Africa & Asia Trade & Cooperation Promotion Association. He welcomed efforts to enhance trade and investment ties between the two countries and emphasised the importance of expanding mutually beneficial cooperation.
Senator Saleem Mandviwalla was also present during the meeting.
